About this template

Cadence is a newsletter landing page template for independent writers, creators and small publications. Cream panels, thin dark dividers and coral, lilac and mint accents give each part of the homepage its own space. Bold headings and warm photographs carry the same style into the sample article.

The layout introduces your publication, its subjects and the person behind it. Readers can explore a complete issue before deciding whether to subscribe. A confirmation screen, privacy and terms pages, and a matching not-found page are included. The author and photographs are sample content to replace with your own material.

Who it suits

Independent newsletter writers can introduce a new publication or give an established newsletter its own website.

Creators and specialists can share essays, field notes or practical advice around a clear subject.

Small publications can put the writer and a substantial reading sample at the centre of their introduction.

Let readers try an issue

Three excerpt cards on the homepage lead to one complete sample article. Use them to highlight different ideas from the same issue, so readers know what they are opening.

The article layout includes a cover photograph, byline, publication date and reading time. A drop-cap introduction, pull quotes, image captions and paired photographs give longer pieces variety. Readers can share the article on X or LinkedIn, copy its link, or return to the signup section.

Introduce the writer and the invitation

An author portrait and biography put a person behind the publication. A separate section explains the subjects you cover, while the opening headline and short description establish what readers can expect.

Email forms appear in the opening section and again near the footer. The included preview checks the address format and opens a demonstration confirmation page; it does not save addresses or send email. Connect your mailing service before accepting real subscriptions, or link to the signup page you already use.

  3. Choose a representative issue. Update the article and its three excerpt cards, including the title, byline, date and captions.

  5. Review and publish. Set your final domain, check each page's search title and description, and test the finished site on a phone.

Built for the website and its readers

The card layout adapts to narrower screens, with mobile navigation and keyboard access. Fonts are hosted with the site, and transitions respect reduced-motion preferences. Pages include individual titles, descriptions and social previews, with readable content already present in the built HTML. Configure your final domain and enable indexing when the site is ready so canonical URLs and the sitemap point to your publication.
